1.2kg (2.6lbs) of certified organic (also Japan certified organic JAS) fresh frozen Japanese pumpkin also known as Japanese winter squash or kabocha from Hokkaido, Japan. Absolutely no added sugars, sodium or refined starches. No use of chemically synthesized fertilizers and pesticides. Strictly controlled and audited this product carries the Japanese certified organic JAS mark. Free of preservatives and artificial additives. Gluten-free and allergen-free. 

A convenient and nutritious addition to your shopping list, the kabocha is organically grown, quick-frozen to preserve flavor and cook up in minutes. Kabocha has a sweet flavor, even sweeter than butternut squash similar in texture and flavor to a pumpkin and sweet potato combined. The rind is edible. In Japan, kabocha is commonly utilized in side dishes and soups, or as a substitute for potato or other squash varieties. Add olive oil and seasoning, then bake in the oven. Otherwise, use the cuts as is, add to a pressure cooker for 15-20 minutes for a soft and creamy texture.

Highly recommended with our organic chicken or beef. The vegetables are lightly pre-cooked, trimmed and ready for cooking. Because these are non-GMO beans the length, thickness, and shape vary and are not the same. You can cut them shorter to your preference. No defrosting prior preparation required. Use straight out of the freezer and cook in boiling water, in the microwave or in the frypan.
