Austria, probably the happiest place for pigs. Surrounded by mountains and pristine forests of Styria the pigs are farmed on microforms - small family operated and owned family farms. The pigs live on hay in groups of around 20 in free-range stalls. Occasionally the animals get to roam freely on the fields when the weather permits. Completely free of growth hormones and antibiotics. The feed is completely in-house grown and consists of corn, barley, wheat, soybean meal, extraction meal, amino acids, mineral mixtures.

Completely defrost in the fridge overnight or in cold water for about 30 minutes before cooking.
The sausages are thin and therefore cook relatively fast. You want to prepare other ingredients such as eggs or bacon at the same time.
There is no need to use any oil or butter. The pork fat from the sausages will suffice.
If at hand use a so-called splatter screen to keep the stove clean. Avoid using a lid as this would make the sausage skin too mushy and chewy.
The sausages are done when firm to the touch.
For a wholesome breakfast - well made for kids, serve with a variety of (organic) fruits and vegetables. Don't forget the free-range egg sunny-side up.
For the busy folks out there: Another simple serving suggestion is a fried egg and whole-wheat toast found in most Japanese supermarkets lately. Enjoy and stay healthy.
