Due to a change in Japanese regulations from the 16th of July 2020 onwards, New Zealand certified organic meat produce will not be automatically recognized as organic in Japan anymore. We’re in the process of having our New Zealand chicken certified as JAS organic in Japan, in the meantime, the organic wording has been removed from all New Zealand chicken product pages. There are no changes in the products. Thank you for your understanding.

Ben and George Bostock grew up on their family’s organic apple orchard in sunny Hawke’s Bay and share a family passion for healthy, safe growing practices where there is control from the farm to plate. This means no chemicals, no antibiotics, no hormones and no genetic modification. The brothers are determined to give their free-range chickens the best life.
They established the farm in June 2014. Their vision is to educate consumers about where their food comes from and the benefits of eating pasture-raised chicken. They enjoy running a successful business that meets all welfare standards, is kind on the environment and is economic and sustainable.
Located in the sunny Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, the Bostock Brothers farm is surrounded by vineyards and apple orchids. For the Bostock brothers it is important to be in control of the whole chain. They plant the seed, do their own harvesting and make their own feed. This way they know what goes into the chicken and can guarantee that the chicken grow the natural way. Even the harvesting, meat processing and packaging as well as marketing and distribution is all made in-house. The Bostock Brothers farm has been featured on New Zealand national TV, watch below.
The brothers are determined to give their pasture-raised chickens the best life. Their apple orchard provides the perfect environment to farm organic chickens. The birds enjoy a happy life roaming freely among the apple trees and are housed in uniquely designed french chalets, which are clean and spacious and enable the chickens to roam freely outside once they are fully feathered.
Currently they raise and care for about 12,000 chicken on 7 hectares of certified organic land to full organic standards and low-density animal welfare farming standards in New Zealand. 4,000 trees have been planted to provide shelter and shade. The chicken are housed in solar powered specially designed french chalets to protect them from the elements and the chicken, once fully feathered move in and out into the pasture as they please.
The flocks thrive on a wholesome diet of certified organic, lush, green grass and our juicy organic apples as well as our home-grown feed, including corn and barley. The mobile, specially designed and solar powered chalets are constantly moved to provide fresh pasture and different wild grasses the chickens can feed on. The ground inside the chalets is natural soil with natural microbes and untreated wood shavings.
Harvesting, fabrication and shipping is all done in-house at their own processing plant in Hasting, New Zealand. The chicken are air chilled and chlorine free. Absolutely no chemicals are used to wash off the chicken or cool off the meat. This means there is no chlorine or chemical residue as well as less shrinkage and water loss during cooking. The way natural chicken is supposed to be.

That is the reason why the chicken can freely roam outside the shelters and are real free range and pasture raised.
