Bone-In Tomahawk Steak Recipe Instructions
Defrost in the refrigerator for at least 36 hours. When the meat is fully defrosted to the center, remove it from the pack and let it rest at room temperature for about 15 minutes. After exposing the meat to oxygen it will change in color - don't be alarmed.
High-quality meat doesn't require excessive seasoning or marinating. Simple sea salt and freshly ground pepper bring out the natural meaty flavor. Use your favorite steak spices freely.
Because of its large size, we recommend grilling it. When cooking in an oven, browning it in a frying pan first and then cooking it in an oven at 180℃ for 28 - 30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 52℃ for best results.
Let it rest for 10 - 15 minutes inside the oven to allow the heat to distribute from the bone to the meat for the juiciest, most delicious steak.
Remove the bone from the steak and serve. Hold the bone with one hand and separate the meat along the bone. Cut into thick slices with a knife slightly angled and finish with high-quality sea salt. Enjoy your high-quality steak that is a great round-up for special occasions.
