Horizon Farms

Buy More, Save More

Choose between 600g or 1.2kg of real Italian, top-quality mozzarella cheese balls (also referred to as cherries or cherry balls) made from 100% milk. The milk used for this cheese comes from Italian dairy cows that, according to European regulations, are not treated with growth-promoting hormones or antibiotics except for therapeutic purposes, and is made with only pasteurized cow' milk and salt, without any additives. The cheese is cellulose-free, preservative-free, sweetener-free, colorant-free, flavoring-free, and free of any food additives. One cheese ball weighs about 20g. They are preserved and frozen in water so they keep their delightfully creamy texture.

Looking for something a bit smaller? Click here to check out our mozzarella cheese pearls, which are about 5g per pearl.

Use for salads and finger food. Creamy, soft, and full of milky taste - that's quality mozzarella made in Italy. Made from 100% Italian milk. The rennet used does not derive from animals and, therefore, this mozzarella cheese is suitable for vegetarians.

Translated from Japanese: This is a reorder. This cheese is soft and flavorful. It’s easy to use and I often make caprese with it.

Translated from Japanese: The cost performance is very good, and it’s individually packed by 200g at a time in a packaging that can be closed, which is very good for freezing and storing.
However, they were a little watery because they were frozen, so it’s better to drain them for about half a day after thawing.

If I were to mention one particular concern, it would be the following:
The texture is rougher and crumblier than the major products sold in Japan.
If you eat it unheated in a salad, it smells a little.
If you heat it up, it disappears.

Translated from Japanese: I have chemical sensitivity (CS) and cheese without additives that I can eat safely is invaluable. This was a winner because it’s small, easy to use, and relatively cheap.
I thawed it for a full 24 hours and ate it by making caprese. I had no problems after eating it. By the way, for reference, my symptoms are so strong that I have to turn on three air purifiers in my room and require a gas mask when I go out.

Safe and delicious

Translated from Japanese: I put hot water in a bowl and thawed it immediately within about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Although it’s frozen, it has a chewy texture and is delicious. The taste is very milky. It's so delicious when used for cooking, so I like to eat it as it is. It’s one of the few cheeses that I can eat with a peace of mind as it doesn’t have any additives.

I purchased this for my business.

Translated from Japanese: Because of the reasonable size, I managed to make bite-sized caprese by cutting the pearls in two. It was soaked in salt water, so the olive oil alone was delicious. It was soft and milky. I’d like to order again.
