These pies have been made with love by an Australian, Kif, and his wife in Tokyo. He runs a very popular Australian meat pie cafe called Punk Doily downtown Setagaya. Our meat pies are exclusively made for Horizon Farms with our meat. We currently offer chunky meat pies with high-quality free-range beef from Australia or New Zealand and chicken meat pies with organic chicken from New Zealand.

The meat pies are non-baked and not suitable for the microwave. You get a fresh raw pastry and need an oven to finish cooking them. All you need is to remove the pies from the freezer and place them straight in the oven and they'll be ready in less than an hour. See instructions below. An excellent gourmet pie to serve for special guests or for lazy weekends. One pie is big enough to feed an adult or two kids. A must-have "always in the freezer" type of food.

Meat Pies Cooking Instructions

All Natural Steak Meat Pies

Take the meat pies straight out of the freezer and open the pack. You do not need to defrost the pies. Note that you will need an oven to bake the pies. A microwave or a toaster is not suitable. Any regular or convection oven available in Japan should be fine.

The pies are already glazed for crispy browning. All you need to do is place the meat pies in their aluminum cups as is on an oven tray.

Make sure to preheat the oven to 210 degrees Celsius (410 degrees Fahrenheit) before you place the meat pies inside.

Place the tray in the middle and set the timer for 30 minutes. Now every oven varies, this is why you need to check after 30 minutes to make sure you've got the right browning. It usually takes 30-40 minutes.

Take the pies out of the oven and be very careful as the filling might be extremely hot even though the pastry might have cooled down on the outside.
