Range-free domestic eggs straight from the family farm to your plate. The eggs come from chickens raised range-free on the Miyamoto Chicken Farm in Aichi Prefecture. These eggs are the result of the farmers' careful feeding and rearing methods and the desire to deliver natural and safe eggs that can be enjoyed even by the youngest family members. They put great detail into egg collection, cleaning, inspection and delivery.
The hens are fed a solely GMO-free diet. No fishmeal is used in the feed, so the eggs have a light flavor and are especially popular amongst those who are sensitive to the peculiar flavor and smell of raw eggs. The hens can run freely on open coop surrounded by natural light and wind, offering a completely stress-free environment. The farm also has an outside playground where they can bathe happily in the sun. Laying boxes, which are designed with the hen's instincts in mind, are used so the hens naturally lay their eggs inside the box. The laying boxes eliminate the need for disinfectants and cleaning and the eggs' natural protective coating naturally protects them from bacteria. As a result, the eggs are resistant to bacteria and can be delivered directly to the dinner table with a shelf life of two weeks even when delivered at normal temperature throughout the year. The eggs are also regularly tested and can therefore be enjoyed with a peace of mind.
✔ No use of pesticides or chemicals on or off the farm.
✔ Eggs are laid in laying boxes to ensure the collection of the freshest and cleanest eggs.
✔ No use of disinfectants. The eggs are washed in hot water only which preserves the natural protective coating, making the eggs resistant to bacteria.
✔ No GMO-feed only.
✔ The hens spend their time in an environment where they can freely move between open poultry houses with natural light and exercise areas with direct sunlight.
✔ The hens are raised carefully with consideration to their natural behaviors, needs and with adherence to animal welfare.
✔ Only clean eggs without cracks are carefully selected on selection day and shipped. Some invisible cracks may become visible after shipment.
