Digital Cooking Thermometer
Here at Horizon Farms, we have the best quality steaks, roasts, and other meats you can find on the market - and we almost always recommend cooking to a perfect medium-rare. We want to provide you with the best tool to ensure you can get the perfect dish every time. This simple, yet accurate digital thermometer lets you know exactly when your meat is cooked perfectly.
How to use it: Insert the tip of the thermometer (approx. 20mm or 3/4") completely inside of the area to measure, and wait until the displayed temperature stabilizes, as the temperature is measured once a second. Can measure up to 240°C (464°F).
Other functionality: Use the "hold" button to lock in the displayed temperature. It also comes with a magnet attached or a hook hole at the top for easy storage.
Can the battery be replaced? Yes, it can be replaced. One battery is included.
Can I use this thermometer for any kind of meat? You can use this thermometer on beef, salmon steaks, tuna steaks, pork roasts, game meat, lamb, or a whole large fish. It is necessary that the thermometer is inserted into the center of the meat. That means this thermometer can't be used on thin steaks or on roasts where the thermometer would poke out from the other side.
Is it heat resistant? The thermometer's steel portion can measure up to 240°C (464°F), but the entire unit itself is designed to withstand temperatures up to 50°C (122°F) and is not suitable for oven use.
Is it waterproof? It is water-proof, but immersing it in water for an extended time may lead to malfunction.
