New Zealand Certified Organic Free-Range Whole Chicken (2kg)

Bostock Brothers
PL201

Description

Compared to our 1.3kg chicken, this massive 2kg sized chicken was raised for an additional 4 weeks - apparently raising organic chicken for additional weeks without the use of growth hormones gets very costly - hence the higher price tag however at lower price point than the 1.3kg chicken (yen per 100g comparison). We have only imported a few of these - we recommend 2kg sized chicken for special occasions only. You get 1 fully sized large whole bone-in chicken without the giblets and neck - basically ready for roasting. The size is around 2kg (4.4lbs). That should fit any regular oven in Japan. The chicken is naturally slow grown and therefore the meat is much healthier, better formed, tastier, and juicier than commodity chicken. There are no bruises or broken bones that you often find on poor factory-farmed birds. Perfect for a family dinner or gathering. Used with plenty of healthy oven-roasted vegetables this bird can easily feed the whole family.

New Zealand free-range, and open pasture-raised certified organic chicken. Naturally and sustainably slow with love and care on an apple orchard farm in the sunny Hawke's Bay, New Zealand by the two Bostock brothers. No antibiotics, no growth hormones, no GMO feed, no use of chemicals, and free of chlorine. The healthiest and tastiest chicken you can get! Taste the difference. Not even is the chicken certified organic, the feed, as well as the apple orchards where the happy chicken roam and forage on, are certified organic as well. Certified organic is not only good for you, it is also good for the environment. The only certified organic chicken in New Zealand. The only certified organic open pasture-raised chicken in all of Japan!

Ben and George Bostock grew up on their family’s organic apple orchard in sunny Hawke’s Bay and share a family passion for healthy, safe growing practices where there is control from the farm to plate. This means no chemicals, no antibiotics, no hormones, and no genetic modification. The brothers are determined to give their free-range and pasture-raised chickens the best life. Their apple orchard provides the perfect environment for organic pasture-raised chicken. The birds enjoy a happy life roaming freely among the apple trees and are housed in uniquely designed french chalets, which are clean and spacious and enable the chickens to roam freely outside once they are fully feathered.
