Certified organic, naturally grown oysters in the half shell from New Zealand. These oysters are sashimi-grade, which means they have been rigidly tested and verified for raw consumption in New Zealand as well as in Japan. Oysters are international delicacies and have a delectably sweet yet subtle flavor and are in high demand in fine dining markets around the world. Oyster connoisseurs will tell you that eating an oyster "naked" is the only way to go. Feel free to prepare them grilled, fried, roasted, or broiled.
Each box contains 1 dozen (12 half shell oysters) the weight is approx. 500g (1.1lbs) per box. The oysters are individually quick-frozen with a mist of water to preserve freshness and texture. Simply remove the number of oysters you need to defrost from the tray at any time and slowly defrost in the fridge. For raw consumption, keep the oysters chilled at all times and consume them as soon as possible.
These Premium Pure Aotearoa Oysters are organically cultivated, harvested, and processed from the beautiful waters around the Clevedon Coast and Waiheke Island. No use of antibiotics or chemicals at any point. Each oyster is hand-processed under strict hygiene regulations and the growing waters are constantly monitored to ensure the highest quality and safety possible. All processing and packing are undertaken in New Zealand.
Please note this item is officially certified organic in the country of origin but due to bilateral agreements not yet recognized as certified organic in Japan. We're in the process of having this product recognized as certified in Japan as well.
