Grass-Fed Grain-Finished Short Rib Slices from New Zealand (300g)

Horizon Farms

You get 300g (10.5oz) of finely trimmed boneless short rib slices. The short ib slices are very popular in Japan and can be found on high-end Yakiniku menus under "Sankaku Bara" or "Jo Karubi" - the short rib sits right under the rib eye and is extremely well-marbled and rich in flavor. These slices are quite largely cut and can be minute mini steaks as well. You can either enjoy them Yakiniku style, as a healthy steak salad or as steak bowls. We recommend cooking these slices to medium rare for optimal tenderness, juiciness, and flavor. Simply sprinkle with high-quality sea salt.

Grass-fed, grain-finished beef from New Zealand. Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, the islands of New Zealand are famed for their world-leading farmers. This is one of the finest New Zealand Angus beef quality available. Combine the freshest New Zealand grass, the best New Zealand grains, and the best New Zealand sea air - and the result is amazing. But that's not it. At Horizon Farms, we aim for the best: Free-range grass-fed for 18 months on lush green and fresh pastures of New Zealand. Then for 200 days the cows are grain-fed the finest selection of New Zealand-grown (supplied by local farmers only) GMO-free grains and drink sustainable water made by the snow from the Southern Alps in a stress-free coastal environment. At no point are the cows given growth hormones or treated with subtherapeutic antibiotics. See more about the farms below.

Meat that also tastes sweet

Translated from Japanese: Unlike the tender and greasy meat like ribs in a Japanese yakiniku restaurant, it was delicious meat that you can taste the sweetness and umami from if you chew it properly.
I also prepared a sauce for grilled meat, but I ate it only with salt and pepper because the meat tasted so good.

Translated from Japanese: I had yakiniku at home. It was so soft even my husband was surprised.

It was delicious

Translated from Japanese: I had yakiniku. It was soft and delicious!

Soft, juicy meat

Translated from Japanese: If you take it off the heat just after grilling it on both sides quickly, it’ll get very juicy and delicious. Salt and pepper are delicious enough. I order it frequently.

Translated from Japanese: I'm reordering because I can eat a higher quality of meat at home compared to when I go to a yakiniku restaurant!
