Wild-Caught Sashimi Grade Sockeye Salmon Fillet from Canada (500g)
Choose options
Introducing wild sockeye salmon caught in Canada's lush western rivers. Each pack contains a 500g (1.1lbs) skin-on sockeye salmon fillet - a delicacy that is hard to find in Japan. Absolutely no use of additives or preservatives, not even salt. This fish is sashimi-grade, meaning you can defrost it in the refrigerator and serve it raw. Sockeye salmon has a leaner flesh than Atlantic salmon and is characterized by its light yet delicious flavor.
This wild sockeye salmon is caught sustainably by the First Nations people, a population that has lived in Canada for centuries. The fish are caught one by one in specific locations using small trawlers or tangle nets. This method reduces damage to the fish and prevents quality deterioration due to lack of acidity since the fish are not in close contact with each other. It also allows accurate counting of fish, which helps prevent overfishing and maintain proper catch management.
Also available as dice cuts or 200g skin-on fillet portions.
✔ Wild-caught one by one to prevent overfishing and quality deterioration
✔ Fishing locations are strictly protected to preserve the environment and biodiversity of the fish
✔ Sourced only by local fishers who use proceeds to further invest in protecting the surrounding marine resources
