Grass-Fed Grain-Finished Ground Beef 80/20 New Zealand (340g)

Horizon Farms
BF166

You get a 340g (12oz.) pack of the finest ground beef. 100% from the sirloin, aka. rump. A cut usually reserved for roasts or even steaks. This ground beef is on the lean side at a 80/20 meat to fat ratio. We never add fat or pork nor do we use trimmings. You'll notice there are no gristles or chunks of fat. We use directly imported chilled meat that has never been frozen before! Processing and shock-freezing take place locally in Japan. This way we ensure the best quality and 100% traceability. Extremely clean and tender ground beef like you have probably never tasted it before. This is so good, on some lazy Sundays we simply add sea salt, freshly ground pepper, ground cumin, and then stir-fry without adding oil and use the mix as a topping on toasted baguettes - 5-star cuisine at home. Please note that the color is darker than what you are used to seeing in the supermarkets due to the vacuum pack and the nature of the rump cut. This has no effect on the quality, safety, taste, or smell of the product.

New Zealand Beef

Our New Zealand beef comes from the Canterbury area of the southern island of New Zealand. The cows are raised on local ranches (referred to as cattle stations in New Zealand) which are family-owned and run. The animals are grass-fed on open pastures their entire lives. Then, 200 days before harvesting, the cows are fed a mix of vegetarian feed consisting of all-locally sourced GMO-free natural grains, silage, hay, molasses, oilseed meals and legumes for a consistent beef flavor and texture. At no point are the animals confined in tight spaces or are force-fed. The finishing feedlots are very spacious and animals are absolutely free to roam on over 6000 square meters. At no point are growth-hormones or antibiotics used.

Very delicious!

Translated from Japanese: I made 4 hamburgers! Because it’s lean, you can enjoy it refreshingly! I cooked the remaining hamburger meat and refroze it. I feel happy to be able to eat delicious hamburger steak anytime!

Translated from Japanese: I made meatloaf!
There was no odor and the finished meat was softer than I had expected.
It was well received by my family, so I’d like to try making hamburgers and scotch eggs using this item.
Thank you for your good product.

It’s meaty and delicious

Translated from Japanese: When it comes to meat, it's Horizon Farms. I buy in bulk on a regular basis. This time, I used this minced meat to make keema curry. It was completely different from the minced meat that I usually buy at the supermarket and it was meaty and delicious. I will buy it again.

Peace of mind and deliciousness

Translated from Japanese: After thawing, I soaked it in salted jiuqu, grated garlic soy sauce, sake, etc., and after about 2 days in the refrigerator, I baked it in the oven until slightly brown. My whole family said it’s delicious! And praised me. I’d like to purchase it again.

Recommended if you care about quality

Translated from Japanese: I'm grateful that you can buy organic chicken at this price.
It's vacuum packed, so you don't have to worry about frost. With 500g, you can cook everything at once, so I think it's much better than freezing it in several parts.
However, since the shape is uneven, it takes up a lot of space in the freezer and since it’s a lump, it cannot be thawed in a short time.

R
Rakuten

Translated from Japanese: I buy meat here every time.
Since shipping is quick and various kinds of meat are available, this is my favorite place to buy from.

R
Rakuten

Translated from Japanese: I bought it repeatedly already. It’s delicious. The thickness is amazing. I cooked it in a frying pan with olive oil over low heat. No sauce needed.

R
Rakuten

Translated from Japanese: It's always delicious! The amount of one pack is also optimal and I will order again!

Translated from Japanese: I made Christmas chicken for my family and it seems it’ll be delicious. Thank you.

R
Rakuten

Translated from Japanese: It’s a reorder. I don't like chicken skin, but the chicken skin from here has no odor and is thin and crispy, so it’s delicious. In a family of three, if you buy two packs, you will have one left, but if you divide the remaining one by three, you will be comfortably full.

R
Rakuten

Translated from Japanese: I fully enjoyed the taste of chicken by using the simple seasoning of salt and pepper.
I immediately ordered it again for Christmas because my family requested it.

For Christmas

Translated from Japanese: The taste and meat were solid and it was very delicious without any odor. I’m satisfied with the size. I’m satisfied with the affordable price.
The texture is completely different from supermarket chicken. It’s a dish I want to buy again.

Y
Yahoo

Translated from Japanese: The skin is thin and there is no excess fat, so when baked in the oven, the skin turned crispy and although I don't usually like the skin, I was able to enjoy it.

Delicious blue hake

Translated from Japanese: That there aren’t any bones was relieving and my family loved it. The white part is light, I put herb powder, pepper and garlic powder on it and ate it with lemon..
The texture was irresistible after all.
I like how easy it is to cook. I will order again. It’s good you can eat it with confidence.

R
Rakuten

Translated from Japanese: I ate it fried and sautéed. It was thick and filling and it was delicious with an elegant light taste. Since it’s a fillet, it also has a tail part and for some reason my children loved it fried the most (laughs).

R
Rakuten

Translated from Japanese: I bought this blue hake that I had been interested in for a long time. I sprinkled it with herbs and sautéed it with salt and pepper. It was very delicious without any odor. There was a review that said there were quite a few scales, so I cooked the skin-side over high heat thoroughly with no worries. I’m very satisfied with the easy sautéing that you can eat at an Italian restaurant.

It’s an easy-to-eat fish.

Translated from Japanese: Blue hake is the number one easy-to-eat fish because it has almost no bones.
