Introducing premium all-natural "hijiki" brown seaweed from Japan. This seaweed is a variety called "dried wakame hijiki," which uses young shoots of hijiki brown seaweed, a rare delicacy amongst seaweed. Freshly harvested hijiki is quickly blanched, salted, and dried to retain ultimate freshness. When rehydrated, it has a nice satisfyingly crispy texture. Compared to typical dried hijiki, the processing time is much shorter, which helps retain nutrients and offers a richer taste and aroma for you to enjoy. No chemical substances are used at any stage of cultivation or processing. Additionally, this hijiki is additive-free, without any preservatives.
Simply soak this hijiki in water for 6 minutes, and it will expand to about 2-3 times its size, ready to be enjoyed as is. Make a traditional Japanese dish just by whipping up a quick hijiki salad with yuzu or vinegar. It's very convenient to have on hand as it requires minimal preparation. It's also recommended as a topping for udon or soba noodles, a classic ingredient for inari sushi or simmered dishes.
