You get 1 fully sized whole bone-in chicken without the giblets and neck - basically ready for roasting. Choose between 1.3kg (2.8lbs) and 2.0kg (4.4lbs) sizes. That should fit any regular oven in Japan. The chicken is naturally slow grown and therefore the meat is much healthier, better formed, tastier, and juicier than commodity chicken. There are no bruises or broken bones that you often find on poor factory-farmed birds. Perfect for a family dinner or gathering. Used with plenty of healthy oven-roasted vegetables this bird can easily feed the whole family.

Additional supplements may include 100% organic and GMO-free soybean meal (+/-14%) and fishmeal from New Zealand (+/- 5%). Chicken are free to forage on open pasture which means they also eat insects and everything they find within the orchards including salts and limestones.

Translated from Japanese: I put it in a hot cooker of 2.4L. I made Samgyetang. Not only the meat, but also the soup was very delicious. I also had the soup for lunch ramen during the holidays.
I found Horizon Farms in search of chicken meat that was not cultivated as much as possible, where the chickens lived freely. This chicken is not cultivated by using organic fertilizers, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers, but an ingredient that grew without any modification. Such meat is hard to come by in Japan. I’m grateful!

I baked it for Christmas! The skin was thin and crispy and it was the best. I sprinkled it with herb salt before baking, put garlic, salted lemon, pesticide-free citrus inside half of the chicken and baked it in a 27 cm Le Creuset with flavored vegetables arranged around the outside of the chicken. I put butter between the outer skin and the meat underneath to make the breast meat moister. There were other things to eat as well, so this size was enough for three people.
