Free-Range Skin-On Mid-Joint Chicken Wings from New Zealand (400g)

Note that free-range chicken meat tends to have red or brown coloring around the bones even after cooking. This is not blood, rather it is proteins called myoglobin and hemoglobin which are predominantly found in healthy free-range chicken that exercise and move a lot. There are no safety or quality concerns. Brining the chicken 24h prior to cooking in a salt solution helps reduce the visual impact.
400g (14.1oz) of free-range, skin-on mid-joint chicken wings in a vacuum pack. The mid-joint portion of the wing is the flat, meaty section with two parallel bones commonly enjoyed as the meatier part of "tebasaki" in Japan or as Buffalo wing flats in America. This chicken is humanely raised free-range with absolutely no growth hormones, antibiotics, or GMO feed. Their authentic environment allows the chickens to grow up happy and stress-free at a natural pace, resulting in healthy, well-formed meat.
Chicken wings are especially prized for their high collagen content that other cuts of chicken lack. Collagens have been proven to promote joint health, skin elasticity, and healthy digestion. Wings are known for tender, juicy meat and skin that is great for crisping. Pair with sauce, marinade, or dry rub for exceptional flavor. Grill, bake, air fry, or smoke to get the most out of this meat.

✔ No GMO feed or pesticides.

The local farmers who produce this product share a common desire to put their chickens first. The chickens' comfort is checked every morning, and they are free to explore vast open areas where they can forage, rest, and roam as they please. They also have state-of-the-art barns to find refuge in when weather or predators are threatening. Waitoa, the producers of this chicken, are SPCA certified for animal welfare practices and Toitu certified Net Carbon Zero for their commitment to reducing CO2 emissions, but they aren't resting on their laurels. They continue to minimize their environmental impact by striving to reduce water usage, waste, and energy consumption as they use sustainable practices to nurture their rich land for generations to come.
