Choose options
This product was recently changed from thin, shabu shabu style slices to the current yakiniku BBQ style slices. We hope you enjoy this new way to experience clean wagyu beef.
Ethically raised and locally sourced pure Japanese Wagyu beef chuck shoulder slices from Iwate prefecture. Each pack contains 100g (3.5oz) of yakiniku BBQ-style slices bursting with rich beefy flavor. The cattle are raised naturally without the use of growth hormones or preventative antibiotics. No pesticides or chemical fertilizers are ever used on the pastures, so the cows can graze freely on lush green grass. Growing up in clean mountain air with plenty of sloped terrain to exercise on makes this beef healthy, lean, and full of flavor.
Chuck roll is a lean cut with finely grained texture. This often-used muscle develops a pleasant firmness and boasts deep, rich flavor that gets better with every bite. To enjoy this low-fat cut at its best, cook it quickly and avoid over-grilling. Simple seasoning with salt and pepper is always a good choice to highlight the meat's natural taste, while a sweet & savory yakiniku sauce also makes it perfect for topping on rice in a classic beef bowl.
✔ Ethical. No factory farming! Humanely raised and treated with respect.
✔ Safe. No growth hormones or antibiotics - ever!
✔ The cows are only fed non-GMO feeds such as grass, rice straws and dent corn.
✔ Adult cows are pasture-raised their entire lives. Calves are raised with their mothers for 10 months after birth and then spend 18 months in large barns where they can roam freely during their fattening period.
✔ Full traceability from ranch to fork!
✔ Strictly non-commodity. Family farming takes time, attention, patience, and care.

These chuck slices are locally sourced from pure Japanese wagyu cows raised on a small farm in Iwate Prefecture. Among the four existing Wagyu beef breeds, this beef is from the Shorthorn variety. Compared to the "Japanese Black" breed beef, this is leaner and richer in amino acids, which contributes to its deeper umami flavor.
Not your typical wagyu. The cows are humanely raised and treated with respect - they always have plenty of room to roam throughout their entire lives. No growth-promoting hormones, no subtherapeutic antibiotics, and no GMO feed. If you're looking for clean, premium, wagyu beef, look no further.
