This product will include either purple Pione grapes or Shine Muscat green grapes depending on the season. Please note that we cannot accept requests for a specific grape variety. When purchasing multiple packs, it's possible that the packs will be either all one type or a mixture of both types.

Please note that these grapes are a seasonal fruit and can only be supplied in limited quantities for a limited period each year, with stock arriving in autumn. Therefore, this product may be out of stock for an extended period of time.

You may notice small white powdery spots or patches on the surface of the skin. This is a natural substance called bloom, made up of fatty acids and other natural components that help repel rain and dew, as well as prevent disease and moisture loss. Please rest assured there are no issues of safety.

One 200g (7oz) pack of naturally grown, fresh frozen Japanese grapes. Carefully cultivated in the mountainous coastal region of Oita Prefecture, these grapes are grown completely free from pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, or gibberellic acid — a hormone commonly used to remove seeds. Rich in natural antioxidants found especially in the skin and seeds, these grapes can be enjoyed whole with total peace of mind.

To preserve freshness, these grapes are gently washed to remove dirt while keeping their natural bloom intact — the thin, protective white coating that helps keep them fresh. Excess water is carefully removed before freezing to maintain the fruit's natural flavor and texture. Thanks to careful cultivation and attention to detail, these grapes offer the rich, pure taste of nature in every bite.

Rare, Chemical-Free Grapes

In conventional grape farming, over 20 applications of agricultural chemicals are typically used before harvest, along with multiple treatments of the plant growth hormone gibberellin. This hormone helps remove seeds, enlarge the fruit, protect from weather, and promote growth even without pollination — improving appearance and yield, but at the cost of natural development.

These naturally cultivated grapes, on the other hand, are grown with safety and purity as the top priority. No pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers, or hormonal agents are used at any stage. The grapes may vary in shape, detach more easily from the bunch, or have thinner skins, requiring delicate, hands-on care throughout cultivation, yet it’s precisely this natural approach that gives each grape its own character. This is the authentic depth of sweetness, flavor, and aroma that only all-natural farming can achieve.
