Buy More, Save More

All-natural freeze-dried wild blueberry powder is also available. Like whole wild blueberries, it is rich in nutrients, yet compact, space-saving, and convenient to carry on the go.

These are not your regular cultivated blueberries. These are the better wild blueberries. 1kg (2.2lbs) of fresh frozen and 100% certified organic from Canada. ACO certified organic, also Japan certified organic JAS, fresh frozen from Canada. All hand-picked and individually flash-frozen (IQF) right after harvest for freshness.

Wild blueberries are true antioxidant bombs. They contain twice the antioxidant capacity compared to regular cultivated blueberries and are all-in-all the better choice. Wild blueberries are naturally low in fat and high in fiber. Also a great source of manganese. Is that it? No there is more, see how wild blueberries perform better than regular blueberries:

Antioxidant capacity Due to their smaller size, wild blueberries contain more antioxidants per serving due to a higher skin to pulp ratio.

Wild blueberries are genetically diverse with hundreds of naturally occurring varieties. Wild blueberries have a unique and complex flavor. Regular blueberries are cultivated and have a narrow genetic pool and are therefore of consistent ordinary taste and size.
Size Size matters! Wild blueberries are smaller and have therefore less water content. You get more blueberries per pound.
Performance Wild blueberries hold their shape, texture, and color through baking and a variety of manufacturing processes. Also, smaller berries freeze better and therefore stay fresher.

About Certified Organic

This product is certified Japan Agricultural Standard Organic (JAS) - both in the country of origin and Japan. Japan has one of the world's strictest organic certification standards. But what does certified organic mean when it comes to fruits and vegetables?

✔ Free of harmful synthetic chemical inputs such as fertilizer, pesticides, antibiotics, food additives, irradiation, and the use of sewage sludge.

✔ Free of genetically modified seeds (non-GMO)

✔ The farmland and soil in use have at least been 3 years free of any chemical treatment before the harvest has been certified as organic.

✔ Organic certifications come with multiple audits or on-site visits a year. Organic producers are rigidly checked and inspected by governmental bodies or certified third parties. Organic certification requires detailed bookkeeping and documentation. This makes organic produce technically 100% traceable from farm to table.

✔ Organic certification standards require a strict separation of non-organic certified produce starting from the farmland, soil, harvesting, processing, export, and even import and storage.

✔ Organic farming is a more sustainable alternative when it comes to food production. The lack of harmful pesticides and a wider variety of plants enhances biodiversity and results in better soil quality and reduced pollution from fertilizer or pesticide run-off.

✔ Organic vegetables and fruits are produced mostly by family-owned farms that own smaller acres of organic land. Although the demand is increasing, organic land does not even make 30% of all farmland in any given country (Japan ranks at the very bottom!). This makes organic farming lucrative and more profitable for farmers and gives them a fair chance to live a sustainable life and support their local communities.

✔ Certified organic in Japan and Australia (as well as in most industrialized countries) is a protected word and the use is legally restricted, meaning that you can be rest assured that Horizon Farms is an officially registered certified organic importer and all organic imported produce has been inspected and verified in the export country as well as in Japan.

It is also important to mention that organic produce is more cost-intensive. Organic farming has lower yields compared to conventional farming and is oftentimes more labor-intensive as well. Additionally, organic certification and auditions require annual fees for producers, exporters, and importers resulting in higher prices for the end consumers.

I got healthier.

Translated from Japanese: They arrived immediately. I boiled them down (no sugar but agar-agar), and put the blueberries 🫐 in a glass. It was delicious.
I'm curious about other products as well, so I'd like to try them little by little.

Translated from Japanese: I put them in yogurt. The color of the anthocyanin is very dark, and the beautiful purple color melts into the yogurt. It seems that you can visually confirm that they’re good for your body. The taste is also delicious.

For smoothies every morning

Translated from Japanese: I put them in a smoothie every morning.
Berries are healthy and have a natural sweetness and are delicious. There’s a lot in one pack, so you can use them generously.

Translated from Japanese: I noticed that my eyesight was getting worse, so I bought these because I want to stock them in the freezer so that I can easily use blueberries for smoothies and more!
Great for smoothies!

Translated from Japanese: I put them in yogurt every morning. They’re small but they’re easy for kids to eat and I like that! One pack contains a lot, and they’re delicious and therefore disappear in no time. They’re organic, and you can eat them with confidence, so I'll order them again.
