One 30g (1oz) pack contains organic grass-fed beef brisket and topside cuts, slow-dried with only coconut aminos, vinegar, Himalayan salt, and spices (cumin, nutmeg, and black pepper). What is the difference between biltong and beef jerky?
While jerky and biltong are both dried meats, they differ in preparation and flavor. Jerky typically is made using a marinade of soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and spices. After marinating it is dried and usually smoked. Biltong on the other hand is marinated in vinegar, seasoned with spices, and then slow dried, resulting in a softer texture and retention of heat-sensitive vitamins. On top of these fundamental differences, this biltong also avoids the nasty preservatives and high sugar content that is often found in jerky.
