New Zealand Free-Range Lamb Spare Ribs (500g)

Horizon Farms

Please note that due to ever-increasing production and import costs the price of this product has been raised. We thank you for your understanding.

Each pack contains 2 slabs of the finest New Zealand lamb spare ribs.  Spare ribs come from the belly section and are therefore tougher than lamb chops or tenderloin filets. We do not recommend these for the grill or the fry-pan but rather for slow-cooking. Slow-cooking them long enough will make these spare-ribs extremely tender falling off the bone - extremely flavorful and worth the long(er) cooking time. The fat cap will render beautifully during the prolonged cooking process providing the spare ribs with extra juiciness and succulent flavor. Before cooking, you will have to cut the slab into individual ribs. For that, we recommend using a large and sharp knife. Do not season excessively - high-quality lamb does not come with gamey flavor or odors. All you need is salt, pepper, garlic powder, and olive oil

New Zealand lamb is internationally known for its superior quality and taste. Our New Zealand lamb takes it one step further: All year free-range open pasture-raised, grass-fed lambs. Free of growth-promoting hormones and subtherapeutic use of antibiotics. This is the finest lamb available. If you have never tried lamb or had a bad experience with lamb in the past we urge you to give New Zealand premium quality lamb a try. However, lamb spare ribs are probably not what you want to begin with if you are new to lamb. Our lamb comes from family-owned and operated farms and ranches in New Zealand only. Ethical raising has always been the cultural tradition in New Zealand.

I made a soft and delicious stew.

Translated from Japanese: I put various organic vegetables (carrots, broccoli, onions, potatoes, etc.) in a pressure cooker.
I had tomato stew.
The meat turned tender in a short time.
I seasoned the meat with the “All-Natural Seasoning Blend” that is also sold here and only use olive oi.
I also added laurels.
I put the tomato sauce in a can of organic tomatoes and cooked it with the pressure cooker. It was very easy.
Everyone ate it deliciously from children to the elderly.
My dogs were also overjoyed.
I will order again.

This ribs are great, very tasty. I prepared them in the oven, 180 C for 40 minutes, I used only salt and pepper and they were awesome.

Translated from Japanese: It arrived today at noon.
It was soft and very delicious.
Salt and pepper are enough as seasoning.

The taste was good...

Translated from Japanese: The taste was good. It's a little sad that the price is high. I think it's the same quality as the product I bought through a different route before, but the quantity was about double.

Safe and organic

Translated from Japanese: It’s delicious safe and organic lamb meat. It was easy to cook and I didn’t have to worry about the smell.
