Happy as a pig in mud. Bathing in the nearby river during summer and playing around on the snowfields in winter - that's the happy life of the pigs on the family-owned El Paso Ranch in Hokkaido that are raised completely free-range in the Tokachi area. And when we say free range we mean the real deal free-range. Spring, summer, autumn and winter - 24 hours, all year free-roaming on 30 hectares (75 acres) of land. The pigs are a slow and naturally grown British Camborough breed. They are fed a large variety of feed mixes that contain all kinds of grains, corn, soybeans, and other vegetables and farm produce (pigs can’t survive only on grass, so there won't be grass-fed pork any time soon). Newborn stay in a shelter together with their mother until they learn how to take care of themselves. No tail clipping of piglets, no gestation crates for sows. No factory farming. They receive all the respect, love and care. See for yourself, all images and videos are real.

Completely defrost in the fridge overnight or in cold water for about 30 minutes before cooking.
The sausages are thin and therefore cook relatively fast. You want to prepare other ingredients such as eggs or bacon at the same time.
There is no need to use any oil or butter. The pork fat from the sausages will suffice.
If at hand use a so-called splatter screen to keep the stove clean. Avoid using a lid as this would make the sausage skin too mushy and chewy.
The sausages are done when firm to the touch.
For a wholesome breakfast - well made for kids, serve with a variety of (organic) fruits and vegetables. Don't forget the free-range egg sunny-side up.
For the busy folks out there: Another simple serving suggestion is a fried egg and whole-wheat toast found in most Japanese supermarkets lately. Enjoy and stay healthy.
Translated from Japanese: I could smell the herbs and they were very delicious. They contain spices, but tasted mild enough for my children to eat them, too. Each of us devoured them one by one.
Translated from Japanese: I bought them for the first time!
The size was big and one was more than enough to satisfy me!
They’re safe and secure, and they have a very juicy taste. They were delicious not only when baked as they are, but also when I put them in soup, etc., and the juices was very delicious, too!
Translated from Japanese: I bought it for the first time.
I cooked it with vegetables to make pot-au-feu. It was easy to make and I made a delicious soup stock. I'm glad I finally found delicious sausages!
Translated from Japanese: it tastes very good.
Until now, I was looking for something safe and secure at the co-op, but from now on I will buy those kind of products here.
Translated from Japanese: I'm glad they didn't get squeaky, but the whole family thought the herbs were too strong.
