Please note that this beef tallow may be white or slightly yellow in color due to natural variations. Please rest assured that there are no differences in the production method, quality, or freshness.
We are pleased to offer this additive-free grass-fed beef tallow made in Japan using only the bones of organic grass-fed cattle raised in Hokkaido. Each block weighs 200g (7.05oz.) and can be used as cooking oil. Simply cut off the amount you need with a knife, just like butter.
Beef tallow is made by rendering beef fat through heating, extraction, and filtration. Once rendered and filtered, the fat may soften or become liquid at room temperature, but refrigeration or freezing keeps it in a solid, butter-like form. Adding it to your cooking brings the refined flavor and rich depth of grass-fed beef. In addition to its use as cooking oil, beef tallow is sometimes used as an ingredient in skincare products, haircare products, and soaps.
This beef tallow is produced alongside bone broth, using only the bones of grass-fed cattle raised on pasture without the use of subtherapeutic antibiotics or growth-promoting hormones. It contains no food additives, salt, sugar, or other seasonings. While conventional beef tallow is typically made from kidney suet or subcutaneous fat, this product is made from the bone marrow of grass-fed cattle's femur bones. It has a richer, creamier flavor and a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture compared to conventional beef tallow.
You can view the full lineup of products from the same manufacturer, including bone broth and products for companion animals, here. The complete lineup of bone broth products, including beef bones, soups, powders, and concentrated pastes, can be viewed here. We also offer raw grass-fed beef fat and grain-fed beef fat.
