Introducing Wild-Caught All-Natural Shell-On King Prawns from Australia. Each pack contains 1kg (2.2lbs) of individually flash-frozen prawns. All-natural and grown in the abundantly rich ocean waters off the southern coast of Australia, free from any chemical substances. They are briefly boiled in clean ocean water on the ship right after being caught, resulting in wonderfully savory ocean flavor that can be enjoyed without further cooking or seasoning. The prawns are frozen immediately after boiling to preserve freshness. Rest assured these premium-quality prawns are completely free of preservatives and additives, and the producers have gone to great lengths to ensure sustainability.
These "Western King Prawns" are known for their large size, tender texture, and satisfyingly sweet flavor. Useful with or without the shell, these crustaceans have exceptional culinary versatility, and can be used in a wide range of dishes. Since they are individually frozen, you can thaw just the amount you need while saving the rest in the freezer. Cooking the prawn with the shell on helps to retain the flavorful moisture, resulting in plump, juicy meat. We recommend grilling them with the shell on for a deliciously aromatic and succulent experience. Dishes like paella, bouillabaisse, and tom yam kung also offer ways to highlight this product with a wide variety of flavors.

Fishermen pay careful attention to the sustainability of the prawn population by only gathering on specific nights determined by moon phases throughout the year. The harvesting takes place in deep-sea areas where the seabed consists mainly of mud and sand to avoid harming seaweed or other aspects of the environment. In addition, regular surveys are performed to assess prawn sizes in the harvesting grounds, and if the prawns are too small, the fishermen target another area where larger, more mature prawns are found.
