500g (17.6oz) of cooked gourmet greenshell mussels from the clean waters off New Zealand. Greenshell mussels have plump meat with a sweet and tender taste. These all-natural mussels are very convenient and easy to use as they are already cooked and can be eaten as is or heated. No cleaning or de-bearding required. If you find algae in the shells, simply wash it off under running water or wipe it off with a clean cloth. Simply remove the number of mussels you need to defrost from the bag at any time and defrost in a separate bowl. Enjoy the fresh taste and convenience of our all-natural mussels.

These mussels are cultivated in the pristine, clean waters of Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand. They're grown on ropes suspended in coastal water to ensure minimum habitat disruption. The mussels feed by filtering algae and other plankton which even improves the quality of the surrounding water. All mussels are sampled with regular tests for E.Coli, salmonella and listeria, washed and have their beard shaved off the outside of the closed mussels. Then, they're packed in USFDA approved and BPA-free plastic pouches and vacuum sealed. There are no antibiotics, hormones, or any chemicals used during both the farming and post-harvesting processes. They're also free of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides. Certified sustainable to the A+ New Zealand standard.
