This octopus is vacuum-packed along with the liquid that forms during the steaming process to preserve the octopus's flavor, color, and texture. While the liquid and octopus have a vibrant color, this is entirely natural and derived from the octopus itself. Please rest assured that no artificial colorings or preservatives are used. Please note that the liquid is not included in the net weight of this product.

Rich in protein yet low in calories, fat, and carbs, it also boasts high levels of iron, vitamin B12, copper, selenium, and omega-3 fatty acids. For the best flavor, we suggest grilling the octopus to highlight its natural taste and add a touch of smokiness—just serve with a drizzle of olive oil, a squeeze of lemon, and fresh herbs. Alternatively, explore its versatility with dishes like carpaccio, risotto, salad, ceviche, or stew. Try it for yourself and share your favorite recipe with us.

About Western Australian Octopus
Fremantle Octopus, the producer of this product, has made a significant mark on the international seafood market. While most octopus fishing utilizes trawling methods that gather creatures of all kinds, Fremantle use their patented Trigger Trap to attract and capture only their target octopus. This trap not only protects other species and babies from being caught by mistake, but also prevents "ghost fishing." The massive increase in catch rates has also allowed them to record and release more small octopi for valuable academic research into sea creature populations. Operating in specifically monitored zones off the Western Australia coast, data is recorded every step of the way to ensure total traceability and transparency.
