All-Natural Sugar-Free Canadian-Style Bacon (300g)

Please note that this bacon is made from the pork loin, which is leaner and less fatty than bacon made from the pork belly. If you are looking for something a bit juicier, we highly recommend our Extra Thick Smoked Bacon or our American Style Smoked Bacon.

Horizon Farms proudly presents what is probably Japan's first all-natural, sugar-free, bacon made from range-free pork. This is the "Canadian-style" bacon which is made from the pork loin as opposed to the "American-style" bacon which is made from the pork belly.

This bacon is cured for two weeks in an all-natural curing process using only natural spices and sea salt. We never use nitrates, curing salts, or celery extracts. The bacon is then smoked for a duration of 2 hours using natural hickory smoke. Nope, no sugars ever. The result is amazingly good and clean bacon that you can enjoy with the whole family.

We use the pork loin which has a great and balanced fat to meat ratio. The pigs are raised range-free in Canada and have never been treated with growth hormones or antibiotics. No use of gestation stalls - ever. Hands down, this is as clean as it gets. Taste the difference.

Each pack contains 300g of pre-sliced bacon. The thickness is 2mm which is your average bacon thickness used for burgers or breakfast. See the cooking instructions below.

All-Natural Canadian Style Bacon / Back Bacon

Defrost the pack of bacon in a bowl of water (less than 1 hour) or in the fridge overnight.

Canadian Style Bacon / Back Bacon

One pack is enough for 4 persons. Once opened you can leave the pack in the fridge for up to 2 more days. Please do not refreeze again for quality reasons.

Canadian Style Bacon / Back Bacon

Prepare a frying-pan to high heat and place the bacon slices without additional oil or butter into the frying pan.

Canadian Style Bacon / Back Bacon

Even though leaner than the "American" style bacon which is made from the pork belly, the pork loin also has relatively high-fat content and it will show during cooking. The bacon will also shrink in size and become crispy. The juices that run out are full of flavor. Cook the next slices in the same juices for flavorful bacon.

Canadian Style Bacon / Back Bacon

Take off the bacon from the heat once crispy brown. The more you cook it the more crispy it becomes. We recommend not cooking them for too long.

Canadian Style Bacon / Back Bacon

Serve for a full breakfast, as a burger topping or in your salad.

Canadian Style Bacon / Back Bacon

Enjoy crispy bacon. All-natural - without sugar - without nasties and free-range pork.

Customer Reviews

Based on 50 reviews

Translated from Japanese: It was very delicious. Unlike other bacon, you can eat it bit by bit and it has less fat. I think it’d be nice to have ham that can be put raw in sandwiches. I will order this again!

I like it better than the American type

Translated from Japanese: Easy to use. As it is, in Napolitan sauce, or wrapped bacon.

Sandor B.

Was very easy to warm up for a quick delicious meal.

Ideal bacon

Translated from Japanese: Bacon with little fat, no additives, and a strong presence. It was the ideal bacon! I will order again.

Translated from Japanese: It's so delicious I just eat too much of it.
I hope it’ll get a little cheaper.
